This beautiful cocktail gets ready in only 15 minutes. Let us learn to prepare this popular traditional Christmas buttery alcoholic beverage. Here we go!

For 4 servings
Ingredients
Softened unsalted butter 4 ounces
Hot water ¾ cups
Dark rum 1 ½ ounces or 3 tbsp
Fresh Orange Juice
Orange zest
Brown sugar ½ cup
Nutmeg (powdered) ½ tsp
Cinnamon (powdered) ½ tsp
Ginger (ground) ¾ tsp
Method
- Blend sugar, the spices, and the orange zest together with butter in an electric blender. The butter should be at room temperature.
- Combine the spiced butter, prepared from the first step with 3 tablespoons gold rum in each glass.
- Pour ¾ cup hot water over each. Stir to mix well.
- Finish the drink with a dash of orange juice squeezed over top.
Tips:
You can prepare the spiced butter 2 weeks in advance and refrigerate.
The water should be hot, but not boiling as the boiling water ruin the flavors.
You can always customize the flavors. Adjust the quantity of spices or you may add additionally add ground allspice powder.
If you are a fan of aromatic vanilla, you can replace the orange flavor with vanilla extract.
