Ingredients for broken wheat bread

  • Bulgur wheat                               ¾ cup
  • Curd                                                 1 cup
  • Honey                                              1 tablespoon
  • Milk                                                  ½ cup
  • Oil (unflavored)                         1 tablespoon
  • Salt                                                   ½ teaspoon
  • Baking soda                                 ¼ teaspoon
  • Baking powder                           1 teaspoon
  • Fruit salt                                        1 teaspoon
  • Lime juice                                      1 teaspoon

Steps to make no flour cracked wheat bread

  1. In a bowl, soak broken wheat in curd. Cover it up and let it stand for an hour or until the wheat berries soften or swell.
  2. Blend this softened cracked wheat with milk, honey, salt, and oil in a mixer.
  3. Take out the blend in a bowl and mix the baking powder & baking soda well.
  4. Add fruit salt with lime juice on it to activate. Mix well.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased bread tin.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees in a preheated oven until a nice golden crust is formed.
  7. Add butter to the crust after removing the bread from the oven.
  8. Leave it covered for another 15 minutes before demolding.
